What we promise

Every member of staff, including support staff, drivers and helpers, is trained to recognise and report a concern about a child.
Every concern is written down, dated, and reviewed by the principal — even if it turns out to be nothing.
No child is ever left to deal with a worry alone because an adult was unsure whether to act.
We do not investigate allegations ourselves. Where the law requires it, we involve the police or the child protection authorities, and we tell you what we are doing.
Anyone can raise a concern, including parents, neighbours, students and former students.

How to raise a concern

Choose whichever way you are most comfortable with. All of these reach the same people.

Call the school office on +91 00000 00000 and ask to speak to the designated safeguarding lead.
Email safeguarding@intellactx.com.
Ask at the school gate for the safeguarding lead or the principal, in person.
If a child is in immediate danger, contact the emergency services first, then tell the school. [Add the local emergency number and child helpline]

You do not need an appointment to raise a concern about a child's safety, and you will not be asked to come back later.

What happens next

We listen, and we write down what you tell us.
The safeguarding lead reviews it the same day, or the next working day at the latest.
We decide what action is needed. That may be nothing beyond keeping an eye out, or it may involve talking to the family, or contacting the authorities.
We tell you what we can. Sometimes we are legally unable to share details — we will say so plainly rather than go quiet.

If you are a student

You can speak to any teacher, or ask at the school office for the counsellor. You will be believed, and you will not be told off for asking for help.

Checking the adults who work with children

Everyone appointed to the school goes through qualification checks, identity checks and a background verification before starting. Visitors sign in at the gate and are escorted in the classroom areas. Staff are trained on our child-protection policy every year and acknowledge it in writing.
